Choosing to study abroad and come to Málaga was one of the best, yet hardest decisions I have ever made. I came in knowing nobody and having very minimal Spanish skills. When I first arrived in Malaga I learned about this volunteer opportunity from my student program advisor and knew it would be something that I would be interested in.
Manuel Siurot was very helpful and flexible with working around my school schedule. Volunteering was a great experience. I got to get to know the students while helping to teach and improve their English skills. While volunteering I also got to improve some of my Spanish skills and learn more about the culture in Spain. Along with going to school and volunteering, I also got to go on trips to other countries with my friends who also were volunteers at the school!
